At PolarRoofs, we can show you the best solution for your business

SINGLE PLY SOLUTIONS

Restore and Preserve EPDM, Thermoplastic, Thermoset, and Other Membranes

  • Reduces membrane shrinkage, and chalking
  • Multiple chemistry options (Acrylic, Polyurethane, OneStep)
  • Reduces stress on seams, flashing, and penetrations
  • Lowers energy costs
  • Adhesion promoting primers used as needed

Membranes can become brittle, shrink and pull away from curbs, separate seams.

By being proactive and restoring a single-ply membrane before it is too late, allows you to avoid unnecessary and costly tear offs, reduce future maintenance costs, decrease heat transfer into buildings and therefore, increasing the ROI and life cycle cost of the roof.

1. Prepare. Address all problem areas. Identify any and all wet insulation. Repair and replace with like materials to make watertight before coating.

2. Power wash, removing dirt and debris.

3. Prime (if necessary) seams, preparing for Fabric Faced Butyl Tape.

4. Apply Fabric Faced Butyl Tape to all seams. The tape needs to be coated prior to base and top coat applications.

5. Prime (if necessary) entire field of roof with Single-Ply Primer topromote adhesion as needed. Primer needs to be coated at the same day.

6. Preserve. As the final layer of protection, apply 2 coats of Acrylic 1000 PlusAcrylic SW or Polyurethane 300 Finish Coat. OR 1 coat of OneStep after Fabric Faced Butyl Tape. It provides a weather resistant, seamless sacrificial barrier that will significantly reduce the harmful effects and damage caused by UV rays.

Benefits

  • Reduce energy costs
  • Slow the aging process
  • Decrease future maintenance cost
  • Change the life cycle of the roof

METAL ROOF SYSTEMS

Extend the life of your metal roof at a lower cost than a full replacement. Get the project done fast with fabric-less roof coating systems

  • Longest performing system in the industry
  • Polyurethane fabric-less seam sealer since 1977
  • System bends and stretches with roof
  • Less disruption for your business

Metal expands and contract backing out fasteners, neoprene washers become brittle causing them to fail, and rust can form weakening the panel.

Use ERSystems metal restoration coating technology to address deficiencies and bring your roof to as good as or better than new condition.

1. Prepare the roof. Prep and clean the roof, removing dirt and debris. Ensure that roof is properly prepared – tightening and replacing fasteners, and ensuring that seams are stitched tight. Seams with gaps larger than ¼” need to caulked with Permathane® SM7120 PUthen stitch screwed.

2. Prime (if necessary) all rust with our rust inhibiting primer – Acrylic Metal Rust Primer or Polyurethane Metal Rust Primer – to halt the rust and to prevent more rust from forming.

3. SealH.E.R. Polyurethane Sealant is applied to the seams, fasteners and penetrations and then smoothed with a brush. H.E.R. will provide 60mils of polyurethane protection. since it’s a fabric-less product, it avoids trapping water which can be a point of failure on other restoration systems.

4. Preserve. As the final layer of protection, apply 2 coats of highly reflective Acrylic 1000 Plus/Acrylic SW. It provides a weather resistant, seamless sacrificial barrier that will significantly reduce the harmful effects and damage caused by UV rays.

Benefits

  • Reduce energy costs
  • Slow the aging process
  • Decrease future maintenance cost
  • Change the life cycle of the roof

ASPHALT SOLUTIONS

Restore existing asphalt substrates including Smooth BUR and Modified Bitumen

  • Reduce the amount of cracking and deterioration
  • Adaptable to nearly every type of asphalt membrane
  • High-tech stain blocking base coat keeps coating from being yellowed by oils in asphalt
  • Multiple chemistries for “tough” applications
  • Systems may be applied to new and aged asphalt or modified bitumen to provide immediate protection from weather, UV degradation and chemical deterioration
  • Lower the roof temperature, extend the roof life

When aged asphalt roof is exposed to solar radiation and moisture, it leaches out oils and plasticizers that can lead to failure and eventually a costly roof replacement.

1. Prepare. Repair and replace any deteriorated areas with like materials to make watertight. Use 2100 MS Adhesive Sealant to seal all seams, flashings, penetrations, etc.

2. Power wash entire roof at recommended p.s.i.

3. Apply Acrylic Asphalt Primer at recommended rate to maintain its energy saving reflective and avoid the yellowing that is seen on other comparable products. Backroll any vertical surfaces (parapets, walls, etc.).

4. Preserve. As the final layer of protection, apply 2 coats of Polyurethane 300 Aliphatic Finish Coator Acrylic 1000 PlusAcrylic SW. OR 1 coat of OneStep Plus after patching. It provides a weather resistant, seamless sacrificial barrier that will significantly reduce the harmful effects and damage caused by UV rays.

  • Reduce energy costs
